Bei dem Konzert, das im September 2019 im L’Olympia Theater in Paris, Frankreich, gefilmt wurde, trat die Sängerin mit Liedern aus ihrem preisgekrönten Album „Lover“ vor einer kleinen Gruppe von Fans aus 37 Ländern auf, die für dieses einmalige Erlebnis extra in die Stadt der Liebe gereist waren.

Die Aufnahmen bieten Fans einen noch nie dagewesenen Blick auf Taylor Swift und die Momente hinter den Kulissen. Gleichzeitig ist das Special der einzige Auftritt der Sängerin in diesem Jahr, nachdem die geplante „Lover Fest“-Tour aufgrund der COVID-19 Pandemie abgesagt werden musste.

Eine verschlafene kanadische Kleinstadt Anfang der 60er Jahre: Die junge Stepphy (Jane Levy) lebt bei ihrem Vater (Peter Stormare) und träumt davon, eines Tages eine berühmte Sängerin zu werden. Als ausgerechnet ihr Lieblings-Rockstar Bobby Shore (Justin Chatwin), den sie bisher nur aus dem Fernsehen kennt, in dem Städtchen auftaucht, scheint ihr großer Traum zum Greifen nah. Doch all ihre Hoffnungen drohen zu zerplatzen, nachdem ein Unfall im nahegelegenen Chemiewerk zu Mutationen unter den Einwohnern führt.

Mia jobbt im Coffeeshop und träumt davon, dass endlich eines ihrer Castings erfolgreich verläuft und die Schauspielkarriere doch noch Wirklichkeit wird. Sebastian hält sich als Pianist mehr schlecht als recht über Wasser, während er eigentlich nichts lieber machen würde, als eine altmodische Jazz-Bar zu eröffnen.
